What is the best crypto exchange for low trading fees?

For raw trading fees, MEXC is the cheapest of the curated options I checked — 0% maker / 0.05% taker on spot. The others sit at a standard 0.1% / 0.1%.

A few things worth weighing before you pick:

• Fee structure isn't everything. A 0.05% saving only matters if the order book you're filling on is liquid enough that you're not giving it back in slippage — Binance's edge is largely here.
• Volume-based discounts. All of these tier down further with monthly volume and with holding their native tokens, so effective fees can be far lower than the headline number for active traders.
• Geographic access. MEXC, Bybit and OKX exclude US-based users, which makes Binance the practical default for many US traders.

So: if you're fee-sensitive and not US-based, MEXC is the clear cost leader. If you want the most liquid market at a modest cost premium, Binance is the safer pick.
