What are the safest crypto exchanges?

"Safe" for a CEX mostly comes down to a few objective signals: how long it's been operating, its CoinGecko trust score, whether it does KYC, and how liquid/deep its markets are (a bigger, busier exchange is harder to rug and more likely to be solvent and audited). A few honest caveats on "safety": all of these are custodial — they hold your funds, so you're exposed to their solvency, hacks, and jurisdiction regardless of trust score. The two highest-leverage things you control are:
