What are the best prediction markets in 2026?

The on-chain prediction-market space is essentially a two-layer story right now, and the clear leader is Polymarket by an enormous margin. (My ranking tool doesn't cover prediction markets as a category, so this is real DefiLlama usage data for the two main on-chain protocols rather than a formal ranked list.)

The wider landscape

A few other names are worth knowing if you're surveying the field, from general knowledge rather than the live data above:

• Kalshi — the big US-regulated competitor, but it's a CFTC-regulated CEX-style venue, not crypto-native (so it doesn't show up in DefiLlama).
• Omen (Gnosis) — a long-running but low-volume decentralized prediction market.
• Manifold / Metaculus — prediction platforms, but play-money/fantasy-style rather than real-money crypto markets.

So in practical terms: Polymarket is the only real-money on-chain prediction market with meaningful scale, and Azuro is the infrastructure layer to watch if you care about sports betting dApps built on-chain. No one else comes close on volume or TVL.
